Monte Rei is a fabulous place to stay and play golf. The course is fantastic and a real test of your ability, but enjoyable also. The course is a Jack Nicklaus design and has earned the mantle of one of best courses in the world. There is a second course planned which will make the resort an exceptional place to enjoy your golfing break in the sun. This will also be a Jack Nicklaus design making Monte Rei one of only very few resorts to have two Jack Nicklaus courses on site.
If a variety of courses is required in your stay then there are some good local courses such as Quinta de Cima and Quinta da Ria not too far away.
The accommodation is in luxury villas of various sizes with magnificent views of the area. The variety of restaurants including a Michelin Star restaurant provide wonderful experiences from within the resort.
Monte Rei lies in the east of the Algarve, not far from the Spanish border and importantly only 45 minutes from Faro Airport. This is a truly wonderful, exclusive resort.
