Infinitum Golf Resort: A Golfer's Paradise in the Costa Dorada
Dream Golf Holidays visit to the Infinitum Golf Resort was extremely fruitful. To get to know the resort is a must for peace of mind that our clients will receive the standards they are used to and indeed expect.
The resort is a golfers paradise. The destination lies within the Costa Dorada region of Spain not far from Salou with some lovely historic towns nearby. There are two 18 hole courses and a 9 hole course all designed by Greg Norman. There is a fantastic clubhouse on each course serving lovely food.
The Lakes Course has, as the name suggests, many water hazards throughout the course, in fact coming into play on almost every hole. The Hills Course, meanders through tree lined fairways and is more forgiving. It is extremely enjoyable to play with some lovely holes. The Ruins Course winds its way through Roman ruins, providing a unique golfing experience.
The practice area is state-of-the-art, a well stocked pro shop, a clubhouse with a restaurant and bar plus a swimming pool to unwind those aching golf muscles.
Flying in to either Reus airport, (this is ideal as it is 20 minutes from the resort) or in to Barcelona (which is about an hour away) you are soon playing golf in the sunshine.
Infinitum Golf Resort is the perfect place to enjoy a golf vacation. The condition of the courses was absolutely superb.
As part of the resort is a private beach club. We had a wonderful relaxing day there, well worth a day here for sure.
Infinitum Beach Club
Infinitum Beach Club is luxurious. The resort provides amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea. Sat there looking at the Infinity pool with the Mediterranean stretching out in front of you is a very enjoyable experience. Incorporated in the beach club are seven swimming pools, including two infinity pools and a variety of restaurants and bars. There is a spa and fitness centre to keep you trim whilst relaxing!
La Pineda
We stayed in La Pineda at the Golden Costa Hotel, this is a relatively new hotel. It is in a perfect location, only a 5 minute drive to the golf courses or the beach club. The hotel was well equipped, nice and airy, good breakfast. The hotel certainly met all our needs.
La Pineda has a long, sandy beach that is perfect for swimming and sunbathing, so if you want a few hours relaxing after golf it is a perfect venue.
Cambrils: A charming seaside town in Spain
We also visited Cambrils on a couple of occasions. This is a little bit more upmarket than La Pineda. Some really nice restaurants and beach bars.
Cambrils is very historic. The history dates back to the Roman era. The town was founded by the Romans in the 1st century AD and was an important port during the Middle Ages. Cambrils was conquered by the Arabs in the 8th century but was later Visit the castle: Cambrils' castle was built by the Romans in the 1st century AD and was later expanded by the Arabs and the Christians. The castle offers stunning views of the town and the Mediterranean Sea.
Tarragona: An important Roman town.
A visit or indeed a stay in Tarragona is also an option. We had a quick visit there, it is quite a big city with quite an impressive Amphitheatre. There are some excellent restaurants serving the catch of the day.
So it is a short flight to Barcelona or Reus from the UK, approximately 2 hours, you will be playing excellent golf in no time.
