Kauai Fam Trip Day 5

Wednesday 8th November

Wailua Golf Club

The third course on the itinerary is Wailua Golf Club, a municipal. Don’t be put off by that word though, this is a very good golf course. Okay, the club house and amenities are nothing to write home about but the course will not disappoint anyone’s golfing holiday.

The course has held many top municipal championships. The par 3 17th is an absolutely stunning hole, sweeping down to the ocean with plenty of bunkers to guard.

The Grand Hyatt Poipu Bay Kauai

After the golf we made our way to our third and last Hotel, The Grand Hyatt Hotel at Poipu.

Stunning, it’s the only way to describe it. The Hotel, the amenities, the service and to top it all, the views. Absolutely wonderful. The view from my room of the Pacific Ocean was a thing of dreams.

Not bad I think you will say!

Poipu Bay Golf Course Sunset Tour

Another sun set tour, you can’t get too many of them believe me. This time on Poipu Bay Golf Course, home of the Grand Slam of Golf . One it gave us all a view of the golf course prior to playing it two days later(not sure it helped though) and two the views from the cliff tops were spectacular.

Plantation Garden Restaurant

This restaurant is a couple of miles from the main Grand Hyatt Resort. It is well worth the visit. Lots of choice, nice wine, superb ambience.

My choice, a lobster, shrimp and local catch noodle stir fry. Couldn’t be faulted.

Another great day, nothing to let it down as a great golfing destination.
