Golf Courses in Barbados

Sandy Lane GC

Sandy Lane Golf Club - Country Club Course

Sandy Lane is a luxury golf resort in Barbados that offers some of the best golf in the world. There are three golf courses – The Old Nine, The Country Club and the world-renowned Green Monkey. No matter which course you play, you will be enchanted by the spectacular natural beauty of the terrain and the stunning views of Barbados’ platinum coastline.

With lush greens, five lakes and immaculately cut fairways, the Country Club course is a golfer’s paradise. Designed by Tom Fazio, this challenging par 72 course, 7,060-yard course affords breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. Home of the 2006 World Cup of Golf, this captivating course will delight you.

The Clubhouse is equipped with all modern amenities. It is luxuriously classic in style, with wonderfully spacious and comfortable locker rooms that allow you to feel relaxed and refreshed after a day on the course. You can rent shoes and clubs if desired.

The golf carts, included in the green fees of The Country Club course, are fitted with a GPS system that shows both your location and distances relative to the greens and hazards, such as bunkers. The system also provides tips on the best way to play the hole, and can also be used to order light refreshments.

When playing golf at Sandy Lane, soft spikes are required. On The Country Club carts and caddies are compulsory and there is a minimum of one caddie per cart. With local knowledge and course management experience, the caddies add tremendous expertise and local character to your game.

Barbados Golf Club

The Barbados Golf Club, located in the southern parish of Christ Church, has become the soul of golfing in Barbados for local players as well as visitors. The course was sanctioned by the PGA European Tour to host a PGA Seniors Tournament in 2003 and it has also hosted the Barbados Open on several occasions.

The 18-hole golf course at Barbados Golf Club features two “Returning Nines” which finish into an expansive and unique triple green that wraps seamlessly around a lake.

Magnificent trees strategically planted 25 years ago on the original development, and the more recent landscape treatments, blend together to give the course a mix of both mature ambience and contemporary feel.

Two lakes intrude and enhance play on five holes and create a dramatic ‘Amen Corner’ on holes 15 & 16. A series of coral waste bunkers carved through four holes adds to the excitement and personality of the course.

The 6,805 yard (6222 meters) par 72 links style golf course, features gently rolling hills and wide open fairways that are forgiving and offer second chances to make a good score.

The Barbados Golf Club is designed for golfers of all skill levels and is a proud member of the Barbados Golf Association, the governing body for golf on Barbados.
